I want to be less crazy. I wish I were less crazy.
But enough about me, let's talk about you!
What's your favorite Halloween craft?
(Partly, I'm curious. Partly, I'm lookin' for ideas to decorate my porch for the kiddies.)
I like the craftiness of appropriating leftover candy.

Mmm. Yes. Quite crafty of you, my dear.
Last year I crocheted some halloween garlands. Believe it or not, Martha Stewart has some fun Halloween decoration ideas. One of my faves (simple, yet fiendish) is to cut big black silhouettes of something scary and backing them with white paper and putting them in your front windows. She uses giant silhouettes of sinister looking poe-esque birds.
You can make fabulously sci-fi looking things with Christmas lights and those molded plastic things that they pack electronics in, or sheets of foam from the craft store (cardboard would work, too). At a former house we had the "Star Trek Bathroom". It was a tiny closet half-bath that had been done in foam panels, with Christmas lights, and some aol cds, and the foil insert from a box of chocolates. It was put together in about an afternoon. We made a bigger project with a trash can, some christmas lights, tin foil, foam, a fan, and some mylar, and had a crashed rocket ship in the front yard with flames coming out the back (fan + mylar). Then we added a little fog machine.... but that was a very SILLY project. (and yes- it pays to be a pack rat....)
We got a LOT of kids.
Alas, the web site with pictures has gone down.
The blinky lights work best.
