Semi-Useful Things [Dec. 29th, 2011|07:27 am]
Kelly J. Cooper

A couple of things that have been floating around in my head lately...

If you have a digital camera, go get a piece of paper & a marker. Write your name, country of origin, and phone number (with country code) on it. Take a picture of that piece of paper and make sure that image is the first one in your camera. If your camera lives in a small case or bag, put the paper (or a business card) into the bag. Consider laminating it first or using some clear packing tape so the ink doesn't run.

This is kinda dumb, but if you know someone who's trying to learn how to use chopsticks (or get better at using them), suggest eating a bowl of popcorn with them. Popcorn is both difficult and easy to pick up with chopsticks - good practice.

Feelin' like a font of suggestions today.

Huh! That's especially clever about the photo of your name and addy!!

I read an article one claiming that research has shown that wallets that have a photo of a child in them get returned [some significant statistic, I forget] % more than ones without. Pet photos come in second for returning wallets.

So I'm thinking of asking a friend to let me have their adorable child hold the card with my name and address up. :) Since the child doesn't actually live here, it wouldn't put her in any stalking risk. Or maybe just have Kitteh sit on the note card.
