The lovely Ms. M (whom I failed to ask if she wanted to be named on my LJ) came by from 2-5pm today and worked on a craft project while I tackled the kitchen. Ugh. It required just enough thought to make me a terrible conversationalist, so it was wretchedly boring work. I'm glad she was there or I would've bailed completely. I took 2 long breaks anyway.
But now the messy pile o'crap is gone or moved, though the big bag o'beading stuff may have to go back there. I dunno. Looking for a new place for it to live. The random pile of place mats discovered while cleaning with findyourfloor went into the laundry along with a technically clean but covered-with-dust tablecloth I unearthed and some strangely sticky reusable shopping bags. I found a book (that I knew I'd lost in the house) that I've been seeking for over 2 years.
Ms. M finished her craft project and took her leave. I went & picked up our farm share, then came home & sorted it. Ate a bit; put some into dinner. Need to make pickles given the WAY TOO MANY cucumbers we have. Haven't the time or energy to make pickles. Dammit.
The Sad threatens, along with The Anxiety. Exhaustion is everywhere. Crappy week. Had Tuesday been a guy, I would've kicked it in the nads.
The only highlight, aside from Ms. M's visit today, was that my 4-year-old friend Ethan told me I'm the silliest person he knows... sillier than Daddy! High praise indeed.
