|An Update on my Lack of Updates

Well, that whole "weekly update" thinger lasted a couple weeks.
In no particular order...
Sold the armoire for a nice price.
Bought a silver star for the top of our tree. This is landmark, because we've been trying to remember to do this BEFORE all the good decorations are gone for YEARS.
Bought a fresh Christmas Tree in Foss Park, whose purchase supports Somerville High School activities.
Cleaned a space in the dining room for the tree.
Set up the tree and put the star on top with the long-reach grabby tool we have.
Continued reading bits & pieces of Refuse to Choose. It's still rockin' my world.
Signed up for e-Lance, writers-editors, and guru. Bid for a couple of jobs, sent email inquiries on another 4 or 5, not much luck. Unfortunately, there's really jack shit out there for just editing. Everybody wants you to WRITE the copy, then edit it. I still suck at writing copy.
Got sent a potential client who wants writing. She and I will have more discussions after the holidays.
Socialized at a few parties and gatherings.
Redid the editing flyer (with tear-away tabs) to have my new email addy @ kjcedits.com on it. Posted one at the Oxford Spa, where I buy sammiches most Mondays & Thursdays. In fact, if you want to print a copy, snip the tabs, and put it up at your workplace or favorite coffee shop, I would be VERY grateful. It's at http://www.kjcedits.com/kjcedits_flyer.pdf
Worked on my Arisia panels. Still hoping to finalize the last one. Panelists are torturing me, however.
Worked at the ATL a bunch, worked for Circlet a bunch (lots of orders last week! yay!), saw some friends for lunch visits, attended an ISSA meeting for more CPE to try and maintain my CISSP certification.
Saw the Jonathan Coulton show at Johnny D's with Paul & Storm opening. That absolutely KICKED ASS. What a great show.
Went to Garden Club. Volunteered to give a talk on vermiculture in February. Do people want to come hear me talk about worms? It's Wednesday, 14 February 2007. The meeting starts at 7pm, my talk starts somewhere between 7:30 and 8pm, and will be over by 8:45pm. It's all at the Tufts Administration Building (TAB), 167 Holland St., second floor. The meetings are open to the public and are wheelchair accessible. I can post a reminder when things get closer. It's the perfect romantic gift!
I've tried a series of experiments for waking up more easily. We moved a CD player into the bedroom that can play CDs and has an alarm and I've tried waking up to music - doesn't really work. And waking up to NPR pisses me off. I tried waking up to a comedy CD yesterday, but I didn't set it up correctly, so I'm going to try again Monday.
The BF rewired our Christmas Choo-Choo Train decoration so that the smoke comes OUT of the stack instead of going INTO the stack. That was very exciting.
That's all I can think of, though I'm sure I've forgotten things.
