Monday Night/Tuesday Morning [Feb. 15th, 2011|05:41 am]

As usual, can't get anything done on the weekend.

Monday night (well, earlier tonight, since I haven't slept yet), I grabbed a box out of our dressing room and dragged it downstairs & transferred all of its contents into bin #4 & documented each book. Pretty much filled it! The BF had boxed it & not done the greatest of jobs, but it had been out of my sight for over a year, so it was slightly less painful to put those books away. (But only slightly.)

Then I dug out a bunch of comic short boxes scattered throughout the living room, dining room, and kitchen and post-it note marked them as sorted or unsorted & ballparked the year for each. The total is 15 boxes with individual issues in them and one box of graphic novels. Another box was half graphic novels, half individual issues - I sorted that one first (just the issues). Then I sorted another box that was full of nothing but issues. This brings my count of unsorted comic boxes down to (I think) four -- there are three boxes too covered with crap for me to excavate and examine, but the one I could get to was sorted and in the middle of the alphabet, which gives me hope regarding the other three. I shall endeavor to uncover them soon.

I failed to take on the worms. Need to do that soon while I actually have a few worms left alive.

Chanting (in my head) "forward progress, forward progress, forward progress" helps. Having the TV on but tuned to news is also helpful. Can't clean, sort, nor organize and have shows with plots on while I do it, but I can listen to the news or programs on the science channels or Current TV. (Yes, I knew about Current TV before it hit the news recently that Al Gore owns it... tho' I didn't know he did until that showed up in headlines.) I've watched it on & off for years. It's been interesting to see it go from 1-, 2-, or 5-minute segments with wacky filler to full-on half-hour to two-hour long programs.

A bunch of other stuff going on that I will talk about as each moves forward or comes to fruition. But my brain is a busy BUSY place right now. Busy.

Excellent with the busy brain. Had you thrown in baking cookies/a cake I could reply "Keep up with the boxin' and batterin'" but, the perfect setup is hard to find. Meanwhile, go you with the things you have accomplished! Forward Progress, indeed!
