Music Mix: "2010" [Oct. 15th, 2010|01:54 am]

Recently, a customer at the MYP asked me for a list of the songs I was playing on a mix I made. Since I have half a dozen mixes, I'm typing them up (cuz it doesn't look like iTunes has an easy way to dump them out or even cut-and-paste... EDITED TO ADD: Ok, I see a way to dump them out). Since I'm typing them up, they might as well go here as well.

Anyway, here's the mix I simply called "2010":

“Conjunction Junction” – Schoolhouse Rock
“It Ain’t the Same Old Cold War Harry” – Grant-Lee Phillips
“I Put A Spell On You” – Screamin’ Jay Hawkins
“Love Handles” – Keller Williams
“Daylight” – Matt & Kim
“Sticky Chemical” – Bobby Bare Jr.
“Say Hey (I Love You) [feat. Cherine Anderson] – Michael Franti & Spearhead
“Take On Me” – Reel Big Fish
“It’s Your Thing” – The Isley Brothers
“The Story Of Benjamin Darling, Part I” – State Radio
“You Sexy Thing” – Hot Chocolate
“Tell Me Something Good” – Rufus
“Mushaboom” – Feist
“Fever (Adam Freeland Extended Mix)” – Sarah Vaughan
“Annie Waits” – Ben Folds
“Hang On Little Tomato” – Pink Martini
“Waiting For My Real Life To Begin” – Colin Hay
“The Underdog” – Spoon
“Such Great Heights” – The Postal Service
“Baby Got Back” – Jonathan Coulton

Inside the playlist, try selecting all the rows of text that you see. Then try doing the copy and paste operation.

Likely if you just have the playlist selected in the sidebar, that's what you're copying, the name of the playlist.

For the export, it is much easier to manipulate if you open the text file within a spreadsheet, as you can then either copy off the columns you are interested in, or select wide swathes of columns to delete out of the document.
