This week's The Weekly Dig has another review by yours truly. I talked about the Ignition City collected trade by Warren Ellis (originally published as 5 or 6 issues by Avatar Press).

He calls it "Deadwood meets Buck Rogers." I liked it a lot.

I liked it. I didn't figure out the ending, so that was good. The lead character is a woman & she's tough, but she makes mistakes. There's lots of creative swearing. And he drops you utterly in media res, so you've got to figure out everything as it goes along, but I enjoyed it.

If it were a movie, I'd go see it again. As it is, I'll probably read it again.

What would you consider his favorite themes?

* Nope

* Nope

I think a couple of the characters may be based on, named after real astronauts & cosmonauts (at least from a comment someone made about it), but it's otherwise not hitting any of those cliches.
