|Switching It Up: New Diagnosis

Saw my pshrink today and told her that I think I have ADD.
(Background: I was complaining about someone to an acquaintance and my acquaintance--who has ADD--said it all sounded familiar & suggested that my someone might have ADD. In doing some research, I realized that I fit a LOT of the ADD criteria.)
She gave me a single sheet of questions where you circle 1 = Never and 5 = Very Often. When I returned the sheet, she didn't even have to add it up, she could tell by where my circles were that I fit the criteria.
So she wanted me to stop the latest SSRI (my third in a series) and start ADD drugs.
This was a good thing on a few levels.
1. As I was just about to start complaining about how, once I increased the dose as prescribed, the latest SSRI wasn't working for me, she told me to stop taking it. (Well, take the last few as half a pill/day; don't renew the 'scrip.)
2. I was getting really tired of antidepressant drugs that didn't work.
3. I've been making NO headway addressing my depression despite the work of the past 3-4 months.
I plan on takin' my first new pill tomorrow. I'll probably make some notes here later in the day.
