Big Audio Question [Aug. 4th, 2009|12:06 am]

I've got a couple of stand-up comedy albums that I'd like to have divided into bits - i.e., most comedy albums come with tracks, with breaks between discrete bits.

But I've got a couple of albums (two that are over an hour and one that's 22 minutes long) that are ONE LONG GODDAMN TRACK.

And I want to turn them into a series of separate tracks.

Is there a piece of software or a service that'll do this for me or help me do it?

Downloaded & installed. Any idea how to snip the files? Looks like I need to use Envelope Editing, but the help menu is pretty abbreviated. Is there a more detailed manual somewhere?

Hmm. I bet Google would probably answer these questions too...

That's ok. I could still use some shortcuts/advice. I spent an hour or two trying to figure the damn thing out & didn't get very far.
