For those of you battling with your resumes, here's a little trick if you're using MS Word.

In your "Job Experience" or "Previous Work Experience" section, if you want the job title too be justified LEFT and the dates you worked there to be justified RIGHT, highlight both and set that little part of your document to TWO columns. Then left justify the left column & right justify the right column.

And VIOLA! as the cellists used to say.

Comment or email me if you have any questions.

You can also table them and justify them separately.

Or you can set a right tab. :)

(Oh yes, I am feeling full of MSWord foo!)

I say "Viola!" all the time.

Well. I really say, "Viola! Or some other stringed instrument..." all the time.

The canonical way to handle what you describe is to set a right tab at the right margin, enter your job title/company name text, press tab, and enter your work period information and watch as it fills the end of the line to the left.

(And, once you've set it this way once, ensure your cursor is in the paragraph still and create a "job title" style, so you can apply the same features to any line your little heart desires.)

Ah, very clevAH...

P. always knows when I'm using MS Word for soemthing because it's the only time I curse at my computer.

I'm a little addicted to Adobe products for anything that I care about how it looks these days. :)
