Interesting article about Asperger's in women. (Ganked from tb.)

I don't think I'm an aspie or autie, but that normalcy fetishism - that's ringing a bunch of my bells.

Great link. I found that a lot of it resonated with me - the struggle to accept her mind as it is - oh yes.

I miss you. I need to get to MYP when you're there. Will you be there tomorrow?

I will be at the Picnic on Thursday, but I'll be closing, so I'll roll in around 3pm or so and will be there til 10pm when I lock the door.

It would be lovely to see you!

Cool! I'll see you there sometime after 3 or 4 PM, then. I'll take care of all the stuff I have to do in places not MYP first. It looks like it'll be a fine day for running around. :-)

I figured this might resonate with you more than other folks, but wasn't sure if you'd seen it or wanted to see it... so I just threw it out there.

WAUGH!

Yeah ... and she's local to here.

How's the sleep doing? I am unsure about mine: I continue to adjust my mouthpiece outwards, but it's starting to be uncomfortable and I look like a shaved werewolf, so I think it's probably time to stop. Breathing seems to be better too. But I hurt when I wake up which means I have been thrashing about and that either means the bed is at the wrong pressure or a CAT has been insisting that I move over or (ugh) that I've been waking up suffocating again.

Another few weeks and I get my follow-up at-home sleep test. @yay.

Sleep still sucks.

*shrug*

Where do you hurt when you wake up? I've managed to mess up my shoulder by sleeping too much...

Neck and lower back. It also depends on whether or not I sleep on my side, flop onto my front, and how many cats are where.

normalcy fetishism

so when people say "you are so weird" and I reply "yes but I pass for normal" and they laugh and say "yes, you do" I am not joking? and all this beading and bead crocheting is a "stim"? hmmm verrrry interesting. Love the concept of normalcy fetishism.

Re: off-topic

I saw your userpic and said, "That's gotta be Borrego!" My father lives there now, and it's the place that taught this life-long north-easterner how nifty deserts can be.

(Also glad that kjc et al. found the post interesting.)
