So... very... toasted...
Headed off to crash for a few hours.
So... deeply... unprepared...
Irish Toast? Did you get marmalade?

Nope. I picked the blue-purple stuff with the little berries.
But it WAS brown bread! Along with sausages, black & white oatcakes (that tasted like pork - d'ya suppose they were soaked in blood? or fried in pork fat?), ham slices, sauted mushrooms & potatoes, and a half a tomato, roasted. Hella tasty & filling!

Not oatcakes - pudding. And the ham slices are referred to as rashers. What you have there is an generally referred to as an Irish Breakfast, although it should also include an egg somewhere, and occasionally you get baked beans as well.

Right! Forgot the egg. Fried egg, yep.
The menu doesn't list rashers or ham slices or nuffin. They just serve them. Which seems odd to me.
And the MENU calls 'em oatcakes.
What is pudding, then?
They call it a "Full Irish Breakfast."
Comes with tea and white toast as well. The brown bread was part of the continental breakfast, which is included in the "Full Irish Breakfast" (along with juice, pastries, yogurt, jams, cereal, & milk).
. Never heard it referred to as oatcakes; seems like a means of disguising the true nature from the squeamish!

Interesting! Musta been pig's blood then, because it tasted very PORK like. Also, they were delicious.
