Ok, I'm trying to remember what else I need to do...

Somerville Garden Club

I wrote a set of instructions for how to join the SGC email list (with separate instructions for ascii vs. graphic mail readers, and an explanation for those who have a Yahoo account and those who don't, after inviting and deleting a couple of my various accounts to check my facts), I emailed those instructions to the SGC Board (asking for feedback before I offer it up to the 142 people I need to invite to join the mailing list), I pulled the full membership list into Excel and sorted it by email address, I pulled the email list off Yahoo and dumped it into Excel as well and sorted it by email address, I compared the two and made a list of everyone who's a member but not on the mailing list, I updated the SGC website, brainstormed some ideas for pages to add, asked a couple of SGC people who made the original GIFs for the site and asked for a couple more, I deleted 20 or so spammers from the forums (hurray for two-step registration), I added a new forum for reporting abuse, I edited all the articles I have currently for the SGC newsletter, and I emailed them all to the other newsletter editor.

I still need to:
  • Edit & email out last month's minutes
  • Burn a CD of minutes for the new SGC secretary
  • Type in the by-laws
  • Make a book of documentation for the new SGC secretary

Million Year Picnic

I'm caught up on sub changes and adding Previews orders to our subscriber lists. I installed the new terminal Sunday night. I wrote down the late order comics when Tony called earlier, then typed them in into the MYP weekly shiplist, then edited it with a separate set of changes emailed to me by Tony later in the evening, emailed it out to the MYP mailing list and posted it on millionyear. Ah, and I just emailed suspects with the Neil Gaiman information.

I still need to:
  • Research storage spaces (locations & prices)
  • Get the eBay account turned back on
  • Work on Yaoi titles
  • A lot of other stuff, which I should write down

Circlet

I checked the Circlet website for spam and for orders. I've shipped all current orders. I set up this week's eBay auctions.

I need to:
  • Write up auctions for a bunch of our out-of-print books and the piles of bookstore books we got
  • Finish unpacking the bookstore books and reorganize the shelves
  • Email a prisoner who coordinates group buys from us
  • Finish the sales listings for the new catalog
  • Adapt the sales listings into eBay auctions

Security Client

I need to:
  • Update both project plans to track progress
  • Write a big pile of policies before Friday

Personal

No editing projects in the pipeline. No current coaching projects. I left the pre-made necklaces at work, so I can't throw them together and begin selling. Cleaning is a huge HUGE ass project and it utterly defeats me.

I need to:
  • Clean
  • Create some stuff (especially with my brand new bead loom)
  • Write down the projects I bought stuff to do before I forget why I bought the stuff
  • Document some goals - it's all too floaty in my head
  • Write the recommendation for the depression book (oh, and best comics of 2007, and the books I read at the end of 2007 and the books I've read so far in 2008)
  • Sell some stuff
  • Maybe organize the yard sale I've been trying to have for 2 years now
  • Poke through the travel books on Ireland
  • Document clothes for donation and actually DONATE the freakin' things
  • Visit, clean, and sublet a friend's apartment
  • Rewrite the class description for William so it conforms to CCAE's requirements & also find the email submission addresses for BCAE & the Brookline AE place
  • Clean up the herb patch in the backyard in preparation for planting some herbs
  • Make a spreadsheet (or buy a financial package) to track my bookkeeping
  • Install the new copy of AV software
  • Submit the data for rebate
  • Pack away my tax documentation from last week

GAAAH!

Sounds like you have a good handle on it and are making progress. Go, you!

You might want to pick of a copy of Getting things Done by David Allen. It might give you a different way of looking on how to organize in a way that isn't so stressful.

I have it, I've read it, I even used his 2-minute rule while typing this out to send the Neil Gaiman email to suspects. Thanks.

The tricky thing is implementing it around depression, something I have some fairly detailed thoughts about that I need to document.

You should put that on your list, then. :)

Getting a handle on what needs to be done really is the first step to doing it afterwards. Not that I'm any good at the last bit myself, of course.

Keep plugging!
