I am such a bonehead.
I thought my CISSP certification period was up back in November and that I'd just missed getting enough credits in before the three-month grace period ended (on Saturday).
But no. If I'd been paying ATTENTION, I woulda noticed that the current cycle goes from 11/3/2004 to 11/3/2007 (I just noticed as I was dumping a last few credits in before writing a letter requesting an extension). Duh.
But no, I missed it. Despite updating my record a whole bunch of times and stuggling to accumulate enough Continuing Personal Education (CPE) credits to hit the required 120 minimum, I UTTERLY FAILED TO NOTICE that I had the WRONG YEAR.
On the plus side, I just need to pick up 9.5 credits in the next 9-12 months and I can do that almost effortlessly. And I caught it before writing the letter. But still... a lot of unnecessary agida.
Dunno why I felt the need to share that with you guys, but there you go.
